The plan offers plenty of resources and will satisfy even the most demanding customers. Other services like dedicated IP, SSL certificates and domain registration are available at extra cost. Users are expected to backup their sites using the control panel. Remote backup is also available on request.

HostRocket offers a credit if it is not able to meet the 99.5% uptime guarantee. This is not automatic and has to be requested by the customer.

2. VPS hosting:

HostRocket's VPS business is managed by its subsidiary DotBlock, which offers SSD (Solid State Drive) cloud VPS. Virtual servers get guaranteed resources according to their plan. More resources can be allocated when needed if spare capacity is available in the system. The high-speed SSD RAID-10 storage ensures excellent speed and performance. HostRocket advantages

  • HostRocket allows audio and video streaming in their shared hosting plan. Many web hosts will not permit this on shared hosting as it consumes a lot of bandwidth and can increase server load.
  • Scalable VPS plans allow customers to upgrade server configuration instantly without any downtime.
  • Custom configurations and upgrades are allowed on dedicated servers.
  • 99.5% uptime guarantee. Credit can be requested in case this is not met.
  • 30 days money-back policy.

HostRocket disadvantages

  • The setup fee is significant. However, this is waived for those who subscribe to an annual plan or above.
  • Plans don't include domain registrations. Domains can be bought cheap from other companies and pointed to the HostRocket account.
  • There is no live chat or forum.

Overall HostRocket review

Irrespective of the type of hosting required, HostRocket is a good place for customers who want to host websites with high traffic and resource requirements. They offer a full range of hosting services at reasonable prices, which is ideal for customers who expect their websites to grow quickly.
